Cyber physical systems consist of subsystems, such as machinery, field sensors and actuators, control units, etc. To function correctly the subsystems rely on firmware and software applications. Maintaining a catalogue of software assets used in equipment and in components is made easy with Cybersort.
Cybersort asset catalogue has a freely definable hierarchy. Assets are given a description of the purpose of their existence and selectable function class. Each asset may also be given requirements for applications connected to it.
Each asset stored in Cybersort gets an URN identifier, which indicates its position in the asset structure tree. Also UUID can to be used for identification of implemented assets in embedded applications. A traditional physical tag, or a position number, of the asset can also be recorded, to combine the physical and cyber worlds.
Inclusion of data assets to physical plant models, such as 3D models, process simulations and various documents, streamlines the development of a digital twin from physical model to cyber physical one.
Cybersort asset tree can be imported and exported as MS Excel template. Cybersort SaaS supports API integration and data sharing with systems typically used by facility operators and designers.
